We like to start with a simple 1,2,3 in skincare, consisting of 4 key products; a cleanser, serum, SPF and night creme. This simple morning and evening routine will get you started but healthy skin relies on consistency and commitment. It's important to note that as the time passes and the seasons change so will your skin and your concerns so your skin care will also follow suit.

Step 1 Cleanse away dulling debris …

Basic function of cleansing skin is to clean the skin, leaving it free of products, dirt, impurities and pollution. You can't expect to have good skin without doing this morning and night.  

It is very important to cleanse you face every night to sweep away the grime off your face, purify pores, remove makeup, impurities, dead skin cells and excessive oil. A morning cleanse is also beneficial as it removes toxins and refreshes the skin ready for the day. A cleansed face isn't just good to protect against breakouts but helps your complexion look youthful too.

PRO TIP emulsify your cleanser in to the skin for 30 seconds using tepid water and clean sponges to remove. For best results we recommend double cleansing especially when wearing makeup.

Step 2 Age Later with a Potent Serum …

Serums are the 'strongest' skin care you can use, as they contain the highest concentration of active ingredients that powerfully target specific skin concern, from sun damage, acne, ageing and redness to name a few. This step will dramatically improve your skin health and appearance. Always layer on a serum, morning and night, to a dry clean face to feed your skin what it needs.

Step 3 - PROTECT and REPAIR to prevent future damage …

No matter what your skin type or issue is, moisturising is essential not only to lock in the actives in the serum but also to add a nourishing boost of restorative moisturiser and reinforce the delicate skin barrier.

The sun, one of the single most damaging and ageing factors for our skin, so during the day, you should always use a moisturiser with a broad spectrum sunscreen to protect against UV rays. Our latest SPF's from the PREVENTION + range that launched earlier this year now also protect us from digital ageing from blue light and environmental stressors!

In the evening, I recommend using a moisturiser that helps your skin rebuild itself as you sleep. This creme is going to work hard to repair and regenerate - which is why they are usually richer in texture and brimming with potent extracts to 'undo' the damage of the day.

Mastered the basics? You can now add in the likes of exfoliation, masques and targeted products for eyes, neck & lips.

Did you know?
